Aluminium Bronze/Nickel
Aluminium Bronze is well known for its high strength and corrosion resistance under relentless conditions. Bronzes demonstrate low corrosion rates in atmospheric conditions and low oxidation rates in high temperatures, they are also highly resistant to corrosion in sea water.
They are most commonly used in environments where their resistance to corrosion is highly dependent and this makes them a preferred choice over other engineering materials.
Ship propellers, valves and related components are the most common uses for aluminium bronzes but they are also widely used in other industries such as aerospace, petrochemical, offshore and water supply.
Aluminium Bronze and Nickel Aluminium Bronze are our common alloys and we manufacture products in cast ingots (AB1, AB2), large machined ingots, machined slab and forged parts (blanks, rings, blocks, valve bodies). We hold in excess of 70 tonnes of forged material in stock at all times (CA104, CW307G, DEF STAN 02-833, BS B23, CuAl10Ni5Fe4).
